Yahoo! TV, MSN, Windowsmedia.com, TVGuide & Zap2it.com Announce Plans to Stream Series' First Episode Beginning Today, July 24th
NEW YORK July 24, 2007 In anticipation of the July 26th on-air premiere of the new docu-series "Welcome to the Parker," Bravo today announced that five of the Internet's most well-trafficked sites Yahoo! TV, MSN, Windowsmedia.com, TV Guide.com and Zap2it.com will take part in a simultaneous streaming of the series' launch beginning today, July 24th. Additionally, the premiere episode will stream on www.BravoTV.com. The multi-site distribution deal was announced today by Jason Klarman, Bravo's Executive Vice President, Marketing and Digital. Each one-hour episode of the docu-series, which takes place at the luxurious Parker Palm Springs Hotel, follows the inherent drama, exhausting lives and complicated relationships between the top-notch hotel staff and their exacting and sometimes very particular guests.
"The best way to get people hooked on this show is by getting them to sample it," Klarman said. "Each of our partners on this launch has a unique, passionate community that will connect with the characters in the show, tuning in to Bravo week after week to get to know them better."
"Welcome To The Parker," premiering Thursday, July 26th at 10 PM ET/PT, is a place where viewers can always expect the unexpected whether the staff is attempting to meet the impossible demands of an A-list clientele or Parker interior designer Jonathan Adler demands a full-time "pillow fluffer" to maintain the hotel's lush decor, or an over-the-top food critic puts everyone in a tizzy, or a group of Hollywood insiders trash the hotel's most expensive suite with a tricycle and too much beer, there's never a dull moment at this five-star retreat for the rich and famous.
A micro-site built around "Welcome to the Parker" will be accessible at www.BravoTV.com and will feature blogs from hotel staff as well as bios and short histories. Additionally, the site will feature video extras that include previews of coming episodes, extended scenes not shown on air, and synopsis clips of each episode. The popular photo galleries will feature photos of famous hotels, films set in hotels and episodic galleries of each episode. Bravo Digital will introduce the interactive "No-Tell Hotel" feature, wherein viewers can submit their best or worst hotel stories via text or online, and Bravo will post them to the site.
The Parker Palm Springs is a happy chic estate known for laid-back relaxation. The hotel sits on 13 acres of landscaped property and gardens with a natural backdrop of desert and mountains.
