Lineup Features World Broadcast Premieres of THE FORGOTTEN, 13 GOING ON 30 and HOLLYWOOD HOMICIDE
Temperatures outside are sizzling, but FOX offers a way to chill out this summer with six Fridays of blockbuster movies. Three World Broadcast Premieres, three blockbuster hits and the star power of Mike Myers, Tom Cruise, Harrison Ford, Britney Spears, Jack Black, Jennifer Garner, Gwyneth Paltrow, John Travolta, Julianne Moore and Rob Schneider make FOX the coolest place to be on Friday nights this July, August and September.
FOX kicks off its summer movie lineup with AUSTIN POWERS IN GOLDMEMBER Friday, July 27 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT). Mike Myers again takes on multiple roles in the third installment of the Austin Powers series, portraying Austin Powers, Dr. Evil, Fat Bastard and his newest character, Goldmember. Dr. Evil is back from outer space and teamed up with evil mastermind Goldmember in a plot to kidnap Austin's father (Michael Caine) and take over the world. As he chases the villains through time, Austin joins forces with his old flame, Foxxy Cleopatra (Beyonc� Knowles), and together they must find a way to stop Dr. Evil and Goldmember from destroying the world. AUSTIN POWERS IN GOLDMEMBER features all-star cameos by Tom Cruise, Gwyneth Paltrow, Britney Spears, Steven Spielberg, John Travolta and Kevin Spacey.
THE FORGOTTEN makes its World Broadcast Premiere Friday, Aug. 3 (8:00- 10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. Telly Paretta (Julianne Moore) still grieves over the loss of her 9-year-old son, Sam, who was killed in a plane crash 14 months ago. But when her husband (Anthony Edwards), along with her psychiatrist (Gary Sinise), insist they never had a child, Telly can't find any evidence to prove Sam ever existed. Haunted by the memories of her son, Telly's search for the truth propels her into a dark conspiracy of eerie terror.
It's only rock and roll, but they like it in SCHOOL OF ROCK airing Friday, Aug. 10 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT). Dewey Finn (Jack Black) is down on his luck. Kicked out of his rock band, flat broke and lacking any job skills whatsoever, he fakes his way into a job as a substitute fourth-grade teacher at a stuffy private school. Instead of teaching the curriculum, Dewey tutors the kids in the subject nearest and dearest to his heart � rock and roll!
On Friday, Aug. 24 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT), FOX unleashes the hit comedy THE ANIMAL. Rob Schneider stars as Marvin Mange, who dreams of being a police officer but can't seem to pass the physical test. When Marvin is critically injured in an accident, Dr. Wilder (Michael Caton) puts him back together using animal parts, and Marvin's new found vigor quickly lands him a job as an officer. But after Marvin's animalistic instincts take over and he's accused of attacking farm animals, Marvin wonders if his new strength is really a good thing.
The World Broadcast Premiere of 13 GOING ON 30, starring Jennifer Garner and Mark Ruffalo, airs Friday, Aug. 31 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. Jenna Rink (Garner) goes from 13-year-old geek to gorgeous 30-year-old overnight with the help of some magic wish dust from her best friend, Matt (Ruffalo). After wishing away her awkward teenage years, Jenna finds herself with everything she always wanted, except for Mark. Is it too late for Jenna to find the true love she left behind?
FOX wraps up its Friday-night movies with the World Broadcast Premiere of HOLLYWOOD HOMICIDE Friday, Sept. 7 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT). Veteran police detective Joe Gavilan (Harrison Ford) and his rookie partner K.C. Calden (Josh Hartnett) have a major murder case to solve, one that involves infiltrating the dangerous world of the hip-hop recording industry. But between Joe's side real estate business and K.C.'s acting dream, juggling two careers and a murder investigation proves to be a comical adventure. Will these two stay alive long enough to catch their big breaks?
