"Army Wives" Averaging 3.6 Million Viewers
NEW YORK, Aug. 22 -- Lifetime Television's "Army Wives,"
whose powerful stories about the struggles, dreams and friendships of a
diverse group of women - and one man - on an active army post captured the
imagination of the country and became the most watched series in the
network's 23-year history, ends its record-setting first season on Sunday,
August 26 at 10PM (ET/PT).
In the season finale of the critically-acclaimed series, which averages
3.6 million viewers while ranking #1 among all cable dramas in W18-34 and
#1 among the year's new cable dramas in W18-49, Michael (Brian McNamara)
believes that the post is under a terrorist threat. After putting the post
on high alert, Michael orders the remaining troops, including Frank, Trevor
and Chase, to deploy immediately. With their loved ones now off the post,
Roland, Pamela, Denise, Roxy and Claudia Joy commiserate at the Hump Bar
looking for solace, but soon find their lives may be in jeopardy.

Kim Delaney, Sally Pressman, Brigid Brannagh, Brian McNamara, Sterling K.
Brown, Wendy Davis, Drew Fuller and Catherine Bell.
Mark Gordon ("Grey's Anatomy," "Criminal Minds") and The Mark Gordon
Company's President of Production, Deborah Spera ("Criminal Minds") serve
as executive producers. Jeff Melvoin ("Alias") serves as executive producer
and show runner. Katherine Fugate ("The Prince & Me") created the series
and also serves as executive producer and writer. The series is based on
the book Under the Sabers: The Unwritten Code of Army Wives by Tanya Biank,
who serves as a consultant. "Army Wives" is produced by ABC Studios.
