'Scott Baio is 45 ... and Single' Returns to VH1 for a Second Season
NEW YORK, Aug. 28 -- Everyone's favorite commitment-phobe
will be back for another season on VH1. In the season one finale, Doc Ali's
two-month boot camp comes to a close and Scott ends his "graduation party"
by committing to Renee and in turn, Renee surprises Scott with the big one-
revealing that she's pregnant.
Thus, season two finds Scott struggling to come to terms with impending
fatherhood. Ultimately, it will be a season full of life changing decisions
for Scott who will be preparing for marriage, fatherhood and instantly
becoming a father to an 18-year old stepdaughter. Scott's friends,
especially Johnny V., will also have learn to live with these many changes
in his life.
The new series goes into production this a Fall and is slated to run
with nine episodes-six 30-minute episodes and three 1-hour episodes.
Season one drew critical acclaim and solid ratings as the series
averaged a .9 P18-49 rating with 1.0 million viewers in the demo, ranking
it among the Top 10 programs in its time period on all of basic cable.
Overall the series averaged 1.3 million total viewers.
"Scott Baio is 45... And Single" was created by Eric Bischoff and Jason
Hervey of Bischoff Hervey Entertainment who serve as executive producers
along with Scott Baio. Executive producers for 3 Ball Productions are JD
Roth, Todd A. Nelson and Adam Greener. Jeff Olde, Claire McCabe and Michael
Hirschorn oversee the series for VH1.
