CMT LAUNCHES LOCAL VOD PROMOTION WITH "CMT ON TOUR" STARRING COUNTRY FAVORITES SUGARLAND AND LITTLE BIG TOWN
Promotion Offers Exclusive Content to Local Operators
NASHVILLE September 6, 2007 CMT will launch a customized local VOD promotion in conjunction with CMT ON TOUR, featuring chart toppers Sugarland and breakout sensation Little Big Town, in each of the 32 CMT ON TOUR markets. The multi-faceted promotion rolls out approximately one month in advance of each market's scheduled show.
As part of the promotion, CMT will offer local cable operators a sneak preview of CMT ON TOUR, which includes artist interviews, performances, videos and local ticket sale information, providing consumers with an inside look at one of the hottest tickets in town. In addition, CMT has created a one-minute "supertrailer" that will be available in each affiliate's local VOD folder, driving consumers to check out the sneak peek on CMT On Demand.
"CMT ON TOUR provides affiliates with the perfect opportunity to connect with their music-loving customers through their premium Video On Demand service," says Ally Cantor, director, partnership marketing, CMT. "In addition to providing customers exclusive access to some of country music's top acts, this promotion allows operators to educate customers on their existing VOD services."
The CMT ON TOUR promotion also provides affiliates with customizable banner ads and ad slicks created for local system websites or for use in affiliate direct mail pieces to help generate awareness for the CMT ON TOUR VOD Sneak Peek. Participating affiliates will receive VIP tickets as well as meet and greet passes for the concert date in their market that can be used for acquisition and retention efforts. Cross channel spots promoting the concert date in each market will drive consumers to check out the sneak peek of CMT ON TOUR and will include concert date and venue information.
