"THE JERRY SPRINGER SHOW" GETTING FEMININE TOUCH FOR 17TH SEASON IN NATIONAL SYNDICATION

Springer Hires Three Off-Duty Female Law Enforcement Officers To Help His Security Detail

Hit Series Returns With New Episodes on Monday September 17th

CHICAGO, IL - September 14, 2007 - "The Jerry Springer Show" is getting a feminine touch for its 17th season, which kicks off Monday Sept. 17th (check local listings) in national syndication.

Bringing viewers the outrageous guests they've come to expect, the upcoming season will continue the show's tradition of always being full of surprises. This fall "The Jerry Springer Show" is beefing up Jerry's security detail with three women security guards.

Mimi Madrigal, Katie Darwin and Mari Flores, all current off-duty law enforcement officers, will join with the veteran male members of the Springer security team this season.

"The truth is, with these three women, our security has never been better (looking)!" says host Jerry Springer, who is coming off a successful run as host of NBC's hit summer series "America's Got Talent."

"The last time I got arrested it was by these three women," says Executive Producer Richard Dominick. "They were very forceful and impressive, so I gave them a job."

Darwin, who is 5'8" and blonde, is from "the Sox side of town" in Chicago. Following in her mother's footsteps, she has been in law enforcement for three years now. Madrigal is the shortest, but probably the toughest new addition to the Springer security team. A law enforcement agent for more than 10 years, Madrigal is a die-hard Chicago White Sox fan, native of Chicago and can hold her own with any of the show's guests.

And Flores, the third newcomer to the security force, is a nine-year law enforcement veteran. This tall brunette stays fit by salsa dancing and wave-running on Lake Michigan. Excited to be a part of the security team, Flores says, "I'm really looking forward to the adventure on Jerry's stage! You never know what's going to happen."

"The Jerry Springer Show" is heading into its 17th season in national syndication and is distributed by NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution. Richard Dominick is the show's executive producer.
