LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- CBS's "The Big Bang Theory" and ABC's "Private Practice" have both landed full 22-episode season orders, industry insiders confirmed this afternoon.
In addition, returning CBS drama "The Unit" has also received a back-nine order.
Pick-ups for "Practice" and "Theory" have widely expected as each ranks as the fall's most-watched new drama (13.43 million viewers on average) and comedy (8.97 million viewers) respectively.
As for "The Unit," the series posted its best numbers since February in its most-recent broadcast (12.27 million viewers, 3.5 adults 18-49 rating), again making the order not much of a surprise.
The series entered its third season with an initial commitment of 13 episodes following its solid albeit unspectacular sophomore run (11.73 million viewers, 3.4 adults 18-49 rating).
Formal announcements of all three developments are expected tomorrow.
