ABC Gives Birth to a Second Season of "Notes from the Underbelly"

ABC GIVES BIRTH TO A SECOND SEASON OF "NOTES FROM THE UNDERBELLY"

ABC's "Notes from the Underbelly" returns for its second season, MONDAY, NOVEMBER 26 (9:30-10:00 p.m., ET), following the new hit series "Samantha Who?." This charming ensemble comedy from producers Kim and Eric Tannenbaum ("2+1/2 Men") and producer Stacy Traub ("Spin City, "Kitchen Confidential") features a group of friends in their early 30s and comically proves that pregnancy doesn't just change your life, but the lives of all your friends.

When Andrew (Peter Cambor) and Lauren (Jennifer Westfeldt) decide to start a family, Andrew eagerly awaits each stage of the pregnancy while Lauren is reluctant to give up their carefree, pre-baby lifestyle. Luckily, they take this leap into parenthood with a little help from their friends -- who have varying opinions and advice on starting a family. Julie (Melanie Paxson) and Eric (Sunkrish Bala) are the overly enthusiastic parents that Andrew and Lauren dearly love but never want to become. Lauren's best friend, Cooper (Rachael Harris), is a sexy, relationship-avoidant divorce attorney who won't let Lauren become another member of the "mommy cult." And Andrew's slacker, childhood buddy, Danny (Michael Weaver), is the furthest from settling down. Can Andrew and Lauren juggle the freedom and spontaneity of their old life with the responsibility of their new one?

"Notes from the Underbelly" stars Jennifer Westfeldt as Lauren, Peter Cambor as Andrew, Michael Weaver as Danny, Rachael Harris as Cooper, Melanie Paxson as Julie and Sunkrish Bala as Eric.

Based on Risa Green's novel of the same name, "Notes from the Underbelly" was created by Stacy Traub ("Kitchen Confidential"). Traub, Barry Sonnenfeld, Kim Tannenbaum and Eric Tannenbaum serve as executive producers. The series is from Tantamount and Hill Three Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television.

"Notes from the Underbelly" is broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC's selected HDTV format, with 5.1-channel surround sound and Spanish subtitles via secondary closed captioning.
