NEW YORK, Nov. 20 -- First it was Perry Como, then Andy
Williams and now ... Larry the Cable Guy. VH1 pulls out all the stops with
"Larry the Cable Guy's Christmas Spectacular," direct from Las Vegas. This
year, VH1 is doing Christmas the way Larry does it -- with a flock of
celebrity guests, musical performances by some of our favorite artists, and
of course, some holiday cheer. This ain't your father's Christmas Special
so let the festivities begin as Larry pays tribute to everyone's favorite
holiday.
"Larry the Cable Guy's Christmas Spectacular" was taped at the Palms
Casino Resort in Las Vegas on August 8 and will premiere Wednesday,
December 5 at 9pm. The spectacular will also be available online at VH1.com
for on- demand viewing on December 5. A sneak peek of the show will launch
online on November 30. Larry puts his own innovative touch on the typical
Christmas special with outrageous stand-up comedy, over-the-top parodies
and shameful sketches that will bring joy to everyone in the family. "Larry
the Cable Guy's Christmas Spectacular" takes a new, no-holds-barred
approach to the average Christmas special by combining some new, wacky
elements with various classic traditions of Christmas Specials Past. So
let's "Git-R-Done!" people because this is one event that is guaranteed to
make this Christmas much more cheery than your last.
Special Christmas moments include visits from the ghosts of Christmas
Past (Jamie Kennedy), Present (Penn Jillette )and Future (Carrot Top) as
well as the first ever roast of Santa Claus. Joining Larry in roasting
Santa Claus are Mrs. Claus, the Three Wise Men, the Easter Bunny, a Santa
Elf, Tony Orlando, and Mama from Mama's Family. Appearances will be made by
Flavor Flav, Jamie Kennedy, Penn Jillette, George Wallace, Tony Orlando,
Lisa Lampanelli, Jim Breuer, Jeffrey Ross, George Wendt, Angela Little
Mackenzie and Jay Johnston.
"Larry the Cable Guy's Christmas Spectacular" is executive produced by
Larry The Cable Guy, J.P. Williams and Charlie Siskel and directed by CB
