IFC Expands Original Programming Slate With The Whitest Kids U' Know
Ten All-New Uncut Episodes of the Sketch Comedy Series Premiere Sunday, February 10
New York, NY, December 3, 2007 - IFC announced today it will kick off the New Year with the highly-anticipated premiere of Season Two of The Whitest Kids U' Know - uncut and uncensored. The second season of the popular sketch comedy series will begin on Sunday, February 10 with ten all-new episodes featuring entertaining and hysterical sketches and musical performances. In advance of the Season Two premiere, the network will also debut a New Year's Eve marathon of The Whitest Kids U' Know Season One on Monday, December 31. The new comedy series expands IFC's growing slate of original programming, further solidifying the network's mantra for developing original and unique content that aligns with IFC's uncut environment.
"We are thrilled to welcome this comedic group to IFC, as their series truly embodies the same edgy, off-the-cuff content that distinguishes and differentiates IFC's original programming," said Debbie DeMontreux, Senior Vice President of Original Programming for IFC. "The Whitest Kids U' Know is the perfect series to build on our successful summer of original comedies, which included new seasons of our hit series The Minor Accomplishments of Jackie Woodman and The Business."
Season Two of The Whitest Kids U' Know will premiere on Sunday, February 10 from 11-11:30pm ET/PT. Highlights from this new season include skits such as: Elephant Balls Drawing, where a typical suburban family struggles with their young son's peculiar artistic tastes; the Sam's Nuts series, during which Sam attempts to keep his slippery balls tucked firmly in his pants; Air Dry, where Trevor gets a little too much information on a first date; and Instant Karma Bigot, where Zach is promptly punished for his outrageously politically-incorrect remarks.
IFC's Season One New Year's Eve marathon will begin at 7pm ET and re-air at midnight ET. The back-to-back episodes will feature memorable sketches from the troupe's first season, including The Hitler Rap, Get a New Daddy and The Movie Pitch.
Comprised of Sam Brown, Zach Cregger, Trevor Moore, Darren Trumeter, and Timmy Williams, The Whitest Kids U' Know launched in 2003 as an underground comedy troupe in New York. Since the debut of their original television series last year, they have garnered a loyal following through their collective off-kilter physical sketch comedy. The series is executive produced by acclaimed producer Jim Biederman, formerly known for The Kids in the Hall, The Tom Green Show and The Jamie Kennedy Experiment for the WB, along with IFC's Debbie DeMontreux, Evan Shapiro, Jennifer Caserta and Rachel Smith.
