ABC.COM LAUNCHES "MEET ME ON OCTOBER ROAD" MICROSITE, WHERE FANS CAN POST THEIR OWN STORIES
What if you could reach out to someone you lost touch with a lifetime ago? Would you take the risk? Now you can. "October Road," the critically acclaimed drama exploring ties between residents of a small town who were once close teenage friends, now has a microsite on ABC.com. "Meet Me on October Road" is a whimsical and engaging feature which allows fans to share their own stories of lost loves and friendships.
From the "October Road" home page, visitors can click on a link to take them to the "Meet Me on October Road" microsite. A short introduction floats over an autumn scene on a winding New England road, culminating with a video clip of Nick and Hannah (Bryan Greenberg and Laura Prepon) struggling with their own reconnection -- and invites visitors to submit their stories.
Although Nick and Hannah have a new opportunity to fall in love again, most of us never will. But the desire to rekindle those past connections remains strong. To post your story, simply register and provide basic information. Postings may be browsed without registration.
Postings take the form of autumn leaves, each with a unique tale, each with a powerful connection to the romantic in us all, allowing fans to ponder the question posed by the show: "Can you ever really go home again?"
