Bravo Honored With Two ITVT Awards For Individual Leadership And Significant Content Offering
NEW YORK � March 14, 2008 � Bravo marked an award-winning week, earning honors for their contributions in the online and multiplatform arenas at the Eighth Annual Weblog Awards and 5th Annual ITVT Awards for Leadership in Interactive and Multiplatform Television. Television Without Pity, Bravo's popular website for TV junkies, was named the "Best Entertainment Weblog" at the 2008 Weblog Awards (the Bloggies), a non-profit competition that determines which blogs are the best of the best. The ceremony was held at the South by Southwest Interactive Festival in Austin, TX on Monday, March 10.
Bravo also garnered honors during the 5th Annual ITVT Awards for Leadership in Interactive and Multiplatform Television on March 12, presenting Bravo and Navic Networks, an interactive television application provider, with the award for "Most Significant Content Offering," for Project Runway's interactive television applications, recognized as the most innovative and disruptive content offering of the past year. Lisa Hsia, Senior Vice President of New Media at Bravo, was honored with the "Individual Leadership" award for excellence in the interactive and multiplatform TV industry for her efforts over the past year to help move the industry forward. The ITVT Awards, honoring industry-shaping companies, organizations and individuals, were held at the Second Annual TV of Tomorrow Show in San Francisco, CA.
