OXYGEN'S SUE JOHANSON ENDS LONG-RUNNING SEX ADVICE SERIES "TALK SEX"

"Talk Sex with Sue Johanson," Oxygen's Popular One Hour Call-In Show, Airs Final LIVE Show, Sunday, May 11 at 12AM ET/PT

NEW YORK May 5, 2008 After six sensuous seasons, Oxygen's Sue Johanson will take viewer calls and flaunt her Hot Stuff bag for the final time when the renowned sex expert ends her long-running call-in series "Talk Sex with Sue Johanson" on Sunday, May 11, 2008. "Talk Sex" has offered helpful guidance to US callers on the sometimes quirky, the embarrassing and the sensitive topics of love, relationships and sex since October 2002. As always Sue's sage advice will continue to be available on Oxygen.com.

Hosted by the respected sex educator Sue Johanson, "Talk Sex with Sue Johanson" tackles all aspects of sexuality in an informative, non-judgmental and humorous way as she provides insights on revitalizing one's sex life and the latest information on sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and sexual disorders. This combined with weekly sex toys shown during the "Hot Stuff" segment has contributed to the show's unique nature, prompting "Entertainment Weekly" to deem Johanson the "It" grandmother.

"Nearly six years ago there wasn't nearly as much open dialogue about human sexuality available on television," said Sue Johanson. Oxygen had the courage to air 'Talk Sex' and I'm thrilled it worked out so well it has been a dream come true. Rest assured I'm not giving up on sex! I will continue talking sex to College and University students, and plan to do specials on television and radio."

"Sue has been with Oxygen almost since its inception and is truly a dear member of our family," said Amy Introcaso-Davis, Senior Vice President of Original Programming and Development, Oxygen Media. "Because of her distinctive and innovate approach to sex education, she became a pop culture icon and we're happy our audience can still learn from her straight-forward advise at Oxygen.com and Oxygen on Demand."

Some highlights of Johanson's series have been her homemade sex toys episodes and her trademark funny, yet, frank manner, of rating sex toys on her legendary "Hot Stuff Hibachi of Love" scale, with ratings from four sizzling briquettes to a barely sputtering spark. Oxygen's most successful late night series, Talk Sex has consistently performed in the daypart. Season six was the show's best ever for W18-49.

"Talk Sex with Sue Johanson" is derived from "Sunday Night Sex Show," which first premiered in Canada in 1984. Canadians got their first glimpse of the grandmotherly Johanson, the author of numerous widely-read books and columns about sexuality, when W Network began to air the show in 1996. A registered nurse, Johanson has completed numerous post-graduate courses, including Family Planning at the University of Toronto, Human Sexuality at the University of Michigan, and Counseling and Communications at the Toronto Institute of Human Relations. In 1970, she established the Don Mills Birth Control Clinic in Toronto. Since 1974, she has been teaching sex and sexuality in schools throughout Canada. Johanson also has been honored with the prestigious Order of Canada award for her work in sex education.
