"THE 51ST ANNUAL GRAMMY(R) AWARDS" WILL BE BROADCAST LIVE FROM STAPLES CENTER IN LOS ANGELES, FEB. 8 ON THE CBS TELEVISION NETWORK
THE 51ST ANNUAL GRAMMY� AWARDS will return to STAPLES Center in Los Angeles, Sunday, Feb. 8 (8:00-11:30 PM, live ET; delayed PT) on the CBS Television Network, it was jointly announced by Jack Sussman, Executive Vice President, Specials, Music and Live Events, CBS, and Neil Portnow, The Recording Academy President/CEO.
"The GRAMMY Awards are unique for their once in a lifetime musical surprises," said Sussman. "What better place to host Music's Biggest NightTM than the STAPLES Center right in the heart of the great city of Los Angeles. We are looking forward to launching GRAMMY's next 50 years right here on CBS in our own backyard."
"The next 50 are here, and we are delighted to be in our hometown," said Portnow. "We will continue to offer a weeklong series of GRAMMY events that showcase various genres of music, educational programs and charitable activities. Additionally, we look forward to working with the city of Los Angeles and our great partners at CBS and STAPLES Center on another memorable GRAMMY show."
Nominations for THE 51ST ANNUAL GRAMMY AWARDS will be announced in Los Angeles on Dec. 4, 2008.
