CHILLER HONORS THE PASSING OF BRILLIANT DIRECTOR SYDNEY POLLACK WITH TWO OF HIS 'ALFRED HITCHCOCK HOUR' EPISODES
BURBANK, Calif. � May 29, 2008 � Chiller will pay tribute to legendary director Sydney Pollack with an airing of two episodes of 'The Alfred Hitchcock Hour' that he directed on Saturday, May 31 with an encore on Sunday, June 1.
"The Alfred Hitchcock Hour" premiered in 1962 as a continuation of the classic anthology series, "Alfred Hitchcock Presents." Pollack directed two installments of the anthology, "The Black Curtain" in 1962 and "Diagnosis: Danger" in 1963. After beginning his career in acting, Pollack landed directing assignments for Universal television shows, which led to his break into feature films.
The episodes will air as follows:
Saturday, May 31:
5pm & 7pm ET: THE ALFRED HITCHCOCK HOUR: "The Black Curtain"
6pm & 8pm ET: THE ALFRED HITCHCOCK HOUR: "Diagnosis: Danger"
*The episodes will encore on Sunday, June 1 from 11am to 1pm ET.
