New York, New York - July 17, 2008 - The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced this morning the 60th Annual EMMY nominations, recognizing AMC with 20 Emmy nominations, the most of any basic cable network. AMC's first original drama series Mad Men received 16 nominations, the most for any drama series, including Outstanding Drama series, Outstanding Lead Actor (Jon Hamm) and Outstanding Supporting Actor in Drama Series (John Slattery). AMC's Breaking Bad received four Emmy Nominations, including Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for Bryan Cranston (his first Emmy nomination in the Drama Category).

Mad Men's first season has been honored with a number of industry awards, including two 2008 Golden Globe awards (Best TV Series - Drama and Best Performance by an Actor in a Drama Series for Jon Hamm), and a Peabody Award, among numerous other accolades.
