CHILLER BRINGS ON THE HEAT IN AUGUST WITH THE BIGGEST HORROR MOVIES AND THE PREMIERE OF THEIR FIRST ORIGINAL SERIES
BURBANK, Calif. � July 24, 2008 � Chiller packs August with the biggest horror films from the biggest names in the genre. Original programming comes to Chiller when their first online series, "The Hills are Alive," comes to television in its first world premiere. Movies from the biggest names in the horror industry, Steven Spielberg and Stephen King, are featured all month long on Chiller providing weeks of fear-provoking programming.

"This is a groundbreaking step for the network and we know viewers will enjoy the online debut�and then re-experience it as a movie with a different ending�when it premieres on Chiller TV in October."
Chiller's first online series, "The Hills Are Alive," premieres on television for the first time this August. From Caroline Thompson, Tim Burton's accomplished collaborator, this series surrounds three junior college students, stuck in summer school in a southern California beach town. They are challenged by their professor to search for an ancient sacred site he predicts will be found in the nearby mountains of Ojai. This challenge puts history, geography and spirituality to the test. The first half-hour special comes to Chiller on Thursday, August 14 at 8pm, 11pm and 2am ET. The adventures will continue all weekend long with encores on Saturday, August 16 at 7pm and 4am ET and Sunday, August 17 at 12:30pm, 11pm and 2am ET.
Big scares are the theme this month when some of the biggest names in horror come out to play. Viewers should stay out of the water this month when all four "Jaws" movies appear on Friday, August 1 from 8pm to 5pm ET. Watch out for the return of the shark on the week of August 11 in "Disgruntled Shark Week." The Spielberg classic, "Jaws," shows his teeth on Monday, August 11 at 9pm and 11:30pm ET followed by "Jaws 2" on Tuesday, August 12 at 9pm and 12am ET, "Jaws 3" on Wednesday, August 13 at 9pm and 12am ET and "Jaws: The Revenge" on Thursday, August 14 at 9pm and 12am ET. Also on the Spielberg front, viewers can watch his "Duel" premiere on Saturday, August 23 at 9pm and 12am ET with an encore on Sunday, August 31 at 9pm and 2am ET, followed by "Trucks" at 11pm and 4am ET.
Stephen King is everywhere the week of August 4 with his mini-series, "The Stand," premiering on Monday, August 4. Part I airs at 9pm and 1am ET and Part II at 11pm and 3am ET. Part III of the series follows on Tuesday, August 5 at 9pm and 12am ET and concludes with Part IV on Wednesday, August 6 at 9pm and 12am ET.
The strange happenings continue on Monday, August 4 with Stephen King's "Graveyard Shift" at 10am and 4pm ET, Stephen King's "Thinner" on Tuesday, August 5 at 10am and 4am ET and "Creepshow" on Wednesday, August 6 at 9:30am and 4pm ET.
The dysfunctional family is reinvented with Damien in the Chiller premiere of "The Omen" on Saturday, August 16 at 9pm and 11:30pm ET and "Damien: Omen II" on Saturday, August 17 at 8pm and 12am ET.
vChiller Summer Camp continues on Fridays in August, from 8pm to 2am ET. This month, Summer Camp features some of the best characters including Jaws, Pinnochio and Jason and also some of the best stars, Jack Nicholson and Ice-T. The triple features will continue all summer long with encores on Saturday from 1pm to 7pm ET. The lineup is as follows:
