'ACCESS HOLLYWOOD' WEEKEND CO-ANCHOR AND CORRESPONDENT SHAUN ROBINSON RENEWS CONTRACT TO CONTINUE WITH HIT ENTERTAINMENT NEWSMAGAZINE

Robinson To Co-Host "Access Hollywood's" Unprecedented Coverage Of The 2008 Olympic Summer Games In Beijing

BURBANK, Calif. - August 4, 2008 - "Access Hollywood" weekend co-anchor and correspondent Shaun Robinson has signed a new, multi-year contract to continue with NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution's top-rated entertainment newsmagazine "Access Hollywood," it was announced today by the show's Executive Producer Rob Silverstein.

Robinson has been with "Access Hollywood" for nearly nine years, joining the show as a weekend co-anchor in May 1999.

"We are excited that Shaun will continue as part of the 'Access' family for years to come," says Silverstein. "She has been on the scene of countless breaking news stories for us throughout the years and across the world and her passion, dedication and class continue to bring us first-rate interviews and news coverage."

"I feel blessed to be asked to stay on board here at 'Access' and with the show constantly evolving, it's an exciting place to work," added Robinson. "I feel fortunate to be part of an amazing team."

Robinson is set to co-host "Access Hollywood's" unprecedented coverage of the 2008 Olympic Summer Games in Beijing, alongside "Access Hollywood" co-anchor Billy Bush, beginning on August 4, 2008.

Although she maintains a busy work schedule, one of Robinson's major passions is mentoring girls. She is honored to have recently been named a national board member of Girls, Inc., a national organization that teaches girls to be "smart, strong and bold." Robinson is also writing a book on the important and timely topic of girls and self-esteem called "Exactly As I Am," due out with Random House Publishing Group division Ballantine Books in Spring 2009. In addition, Robinson devotes her time as the Los Angeles County spokesperson for the "Share Your Heart, Share Your Home" program, which helps to find permanent homes for children waiting for adoption, as well as working at various events with JumpStart, a national non-profit organization that promotes child literacy.

Robinson, who received an Emmy(r) for her live coverage of NBC's broadcast of "A Grand Night in Harlem," has also covered the red carpet for every major award show in Hollywood. In addition to her on-air duties for "Access Hollywood," Robinson has hosted ABC's live pre-show for the Academy Awards (2008, 2006, 2005, 2003); NBC's official Golden Globes pre-show (2007, 2006, 2002); co-hosted Miss Teen USA (2006); and NBC's coverage of the Tournament of Roses Parade (2004). One of the most memorable highlights in Robinson's career was being given the opportunity to cover the opening of the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls in Johannesburg, South Africa in 2007.

Robinson began her broadcasting career in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where she served as a medical reporter and weekend anchor for WISN-TV and host of the station's daily series, "Milwaukee's Talking." Robinson then went on to Austin, Texas, where she was an anchor and reporter for KEYE-TV. While she was in Austin, Robinson earned an "American Women in Radio and Television" award for her series, "Profiles in Power," which focused on women who had made an impact in Central, Texas.

Before joining "Access Hollywood," Robinson moved to Miami, Florida, as an anchor and reporter for WSVN-TV, where she covered the Clinton Impeachment hearings and Oklahoma to profile survivors of the Oklahoma City bombing.

Robinson is a native of Detroit, Michigan and is a graduate of Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia.

"Access Hollywood" is produced by KNBC and distributed by NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution. Rob K. Silverstein is the executive producer.
