Last season's "Heroes" finale left viewers with a cliffhanger, bringing tragedy to some of our favorite heroes while the villains gained momentum. The new season of "Heroes" prompts the question of which side will prevail and G4 is there as the forces of good and evil take on the world. The heroes succeeded in saving the cheerleader, but now the time has come for them to save themselves.
In 2007, G4 secured off-network rights to "Heroes" from NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution. The deal extends through six seasons of the series with the entire "Heroes" library available in 2010. G4 also obtained exclusive cable rights to stream the series on the network's web site, G4tv.com. G4 gains free VOD rights for "Heroes" in 2010.
"Heroes" is an epic drama that chronicles the lives of ordinary people who discover they possess extraordinary abilities. In its first season, "Heroes" was honored with a People's Choice Award, an AFI Award, a Multicultural Prism Award, the TV Land Future Classic Award and was named the TV Critics Association Outstanding Program of the Year. In addition, "Heroes" received a Golden Globe Award, NAACP Image Award, WGA Award, Satellite Award and Emmy Award nominations.
Tim Kring (NBC's "Crossing Jordan") is executive producer, along with Dennis Hammer (NBC's "Crossing Jordan"), Allan Arkush (NBC's "Crossing Jordan") and Greg Beeman ("Smallville"). The drama is produced by Universal Media Studios in association with Tailwind Production and distributed off-network by NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution.
