OXYGEN APPOINTS DAVID STEFANOU TO VP OF ORIGINAL PROGRAMMING
NEW YORK � September 30, 2008 � David Stefanou joins Oxygen Media as VP of Original Programming. In a newly created position, Stefanou will be responsible for Oxygen's current original production. The announcement was made by Amy Introcaso-Davis, Oxygen's Senior Vice President of Original Programming and Development, to whom Stefanou will directly report.
"David is a renaissance man," said Introcaso-Davis. "We are thrilled to have the benefit of his vast experience in television production and development and see him as an integral part of the ever-expanding Oxygen brand."
Prior to his appointment, Stefanou led the production and development team at MTV's London branch. Previous to MTV, he held positions at True Entertainment/Endemol, Wendy Finerman productions, Franklin & Siegel Associates, and Nickelodeon among others. His production/development credits include "Kerry Katona: Crazy In Love" (for MTV UK), "Design Star" (for HGTV), "Pick Me MTV" (for MTV UK), "Mystery Diagnosis" (for TLC/Discovery Health) and "Widow on the Hill" (for Lifetime) among others. Stefanou will be based in New York.
Kristen Connolly Vadas, whose credits include "Tori and Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood" and the upcoming "Coolio's Rules" will continue to report to Introcaso-Davis as VP of Development. She is based in Los Angeles.
