Fox Reality Channel's Original "Battle of the Bods" Returns for a Steamy Second Season of Body Ranking Competition Between the Sexes
LOS ANGELES -- Fox Reality Channel, the only all-reality, all-the-time cable and satellite network, is set to begin production on its second season of the sexy late-night original series, "Battle of the Bods." The reality competition, hosted by cheeky British comedienne Olivia Lee (Punk'd, Balls of Steel, and UK's Unan1mous), takes five sexy ladies and has them rank themselves in order of attractiveness; including face, butt, chest, legs and an overall full rank. The ladies are competing to match the rankings of a panel of male judges sitting behind a one-way mirror for cash prizes. The male judges don't get off that easy though at the end of each episode, the tables are turned and the ladies get their chance to rank the men for an additional cash prize.
"This show takes a close look at how people see themselves and how they think the opposite sex sees them. There is a voyeuristic quality to the program that makes it perfectly suited for the lineup of reality programming offered by our network," remarked Bob Boden, SVP of Programming, Production & Development at Fox Reality Channel.
"We're delighted to work with Fox Reality Channel again on the second season of 'Battle of the Bods'," said Glenda Hersh Co-President, True Entertainment. "Viewers will see even sexier women and men vying to see who gets the top spot after the contestants share what they really feel about their best assets."
In addition to watching the show on Fox Reality Channel, viewers will be able to "get ranking" through an interactive microsite on foxreality.com. Digital components will include exclusive webisodes from the previous season split between "Ranking Weirdest Body Parts," "Battle of the Brains," and "Dress Up."
Along with the value-add website experience, "Battle of the Bods" will be available through iTunes, VOD (Time Warner and DirectTV), and the mobile version of the foxreality.com website.
Casting has begun in Los Angeles and will also take place in San Diego, Phoenix and Las Vegas for the new season, which is slated to include 20 episodes and air in 2009.
True Entertainment, an Endemol company, is producing the Fox Reality Channel Original series "Battle of the Bods" with Co-Presidents/Co-Founders Steven Weinstock & Glenda Hersh, Executive Producer Dean Minerd and Director Rob George.
