TLC'S 10 YEARS YOUNGER GETS A FACE-LIFT FOR ITS FOURTH SEASON
Kyan Douglas Joins As Host, All-New Glam Squad Perform Age-Defying Makeovers
LOS ANGELES, CA TLC's popular makeover series 10 YEARS YOUNGER gets a whole new look when it returns for its fourth season in January 2009. It was announced today that Kyan Douglas, well known as the Emmy Award-winning health & beauty expert on the series QUEER EYE FOR THE STRAIGHT GUY, joins as host, helping each makeover subject navigate the emotional and physical transformations that are the trademark of the series. Kyan welcomes an all-new Glam Squad to help make the reveals more powerful than ever.
"I'm thrilled to join 10 YEARS YOUNGER it's an incredible opportunity to make an impact in the lives of the people we make over, and the viewers at home," said Kyan. "It's always been my focus to connect how we feel about ourselves to how we present ourselves, and this series takes that mission to a whole new level."
In each episode of 10 YEARS YOUNGER, an individual who looks beyond their years discovers what age 100 strangers guess they are as they stand inside the show's famous soundproof glass box. Viewers follow their journeys as Kyan then guides them through the process of transformation and they uncover the reasons they have let their looks go. They undergo a series of non-invasive surgical procedures to help update their look and give them a new opportunity to rejuvenate themselves from the outside in. At the end, they reveal their brand-new look to family and friends, and people again guess their age. Will they look and feel 10 years younger?
In addition to Kyan, each makeover recipient is guided by the Glam Squad, a team of experts that help reveal the inner beauty in each man and woman. This season, the Squad includes:
JEANNIE MAI: MAKE-UP Jeannie' s career spans a multitude of talents from behind the scenes of styling and makeup to on camera as a host of fashion, music, pop culture, and lifestyle. Jeannie has worked for MAC Cosmetics and with celebrities such as Kelly Osbourne, Alicia Keys, and Lil Kim. Having appeared on USA, E!, Style, and TLC networks, she is the official spokesperson for Never Accept Ordinary Cosmetics.
ANTHONY MORRISON: HAIR Anthony brings 22-plus years experience in the beauty industry to 10 YEARS YOUNGER. The winner of the first season of Bravo's Shear Genius, he currently runs his own hair and beauty business, Londoner Salon and Day Spa in Los Angeles' Manhattan Beach district. Anthony also travels the world educating hairstylists and salon professionals, as well as his own team at the Londoner Academy.
ANDY PAIGE: STYLIST Andy is the owner of CENTS OF STYLE, an organization dedicated to helping women strategically build their wardrobe for $100 or less, as well as giving them tools to enhance their inner beauty and confidence through personal beauty and style coaching. "10 YEARS YOUNGER is better than ever with Kyan and the new Glam Squad giving our guests these amazing makeovers," said Nancy Daniels, SVP of Programming at TLC.
