PAUL RYAN AND NANCY KRAMER ARE NAMED SENIOR PRODUCERS OF "48 HOURS MYSTERY"

48 HOURS MYSTERY producers Paul Ryan and Nancy Kramer have been named Senior Producers of the CBS News program. In their new positions, Ryan and Kramer will facilitate the development of unique programming under the 48 HOURS umbrella and will continue to produce weekly 48 HOURS MYSTERY broadcasts.

48 HOURS MYSTERY, broadcast Saturdays (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, is television's most popular true-crime series, investigating shocking cases and compelling real-life dramas with journalistic integrity and a cutting-edge visual style. 48 HOURS has received critical acclaim for both its weekly broadcasts and its frequent specials, earning numerous awards including three Peabodys, 17 Emmys, and four RTNDA Edward R. Murrow Awards.

Ryan joined 48 HOURS MYSTERY as a producer in 1999. Before making the move to 48 HOURS, Ryan was a producer at CBS News Productions (1997-99), where his credits included the 13-hour "Century of Country" broadcast on the Nashville Network and episodes of A&E's Biography series.

Prior to his position at CBS News, Ryan was at Sports Illustrated Television (1994-97), where he served as a producer on NBC's 1996 Olympic Preview, the "Sports Illustrated For Kids Show" on CBS, segments for ABC's Wide World of Sports and the annual Sports Illustrated swimsuit show.

His recent credits include some of 48 HOURS' most acclaimed broadcasts, including the Kimberly Dozier special "Flashpoint," reported by Katie Couric, for which he won a Christopher Award, and "Death, Duty and Dishonor," a story that was subsequently made into a feature film.

Since joining 48 HOURS MYSTERY in 2001, Kramer has developed some of CBS News' highest rated primetime programming, including hours on Elizabeth Smart, John Ramsey, and a celebrity tribute to news legend Walter Cronkite. She served as senior producer for the summer mystery series "Vanished" and won a Christopher award for her work as a senior producer of the CBS special "In God's Name," which documented filmmakers Jules and Gedeon Naudet's spiritual journey after 9/11.

Kramer first joined CBS News as a producer for "Street Stories," "America Tonight" and the CBS EVENING NEWS weekend editions (1993-95). She was recognized with an Emmy for ABC's millennium coverage, where she served as a producer for "20/20" and "Primetime Live" (1996-2000), before returning to CBS News as a producer for 60 MINUTES (2000-01).

Kramer began her career at FOX Television, where she held news editor and producer positions at "A Current Affair" (1990-93) and "The Reporters" (1988-90).

She was graduated from Vassar College. Ryan was graduated from Pace University and received his master's degree from the University of Chicago.
