ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT (FOX) - Executive producers Mitch Hurwitz and Ron Howard reportedly have closed deals with Fox Searchlight to bring the series to the big screen. Hurwitz will pen the feature and direct with an assist by Howard. Howard's Imagine Television and 20th Century Fox Television co-produced the FOX series.
IN THE MOTHERHOOD (ABC) - "SNL" alum Horatio Sanz has joined the cast of the upcoming comedy, based on the web series about three mothers and girlfriends whose exploits are based on real-life stories of moms across the country. He'll join the previously cast Megan Mullally and Cheryl Hines in the ABC Studios-based project, which comes from Jennifer Konner and Alexandra Rushfield. Chelsea Handler, who co-starred in the original incarnation along with Leah Remini and Jenny McCarthy, had been in talks to reprise her role however a deal could not be reached due to her commitments to her talk show on E!. As for Sanz, he'll play Horatio, a stay-at-home dad/unemployed father doing his best to raise his daughter after the mother - the daughter of Mullally's character - left them.
POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS (Showtime) - Jason London ("Wildfire") has joined the cast of the drama pilot, about a family run pharmaceutical company. He'll play Silas Hunt, the middle son, peacekeeper and perhaps the only sane member of the eccentric clan. Josh Lucas toplines the project, which comes from writer/director Tim Robbins.
