LIFETIME TELEVISION ORDERS FOURTH SEASON OF CABLE'S HIGHEST-RATED SERIES AMONG WOMEN 18-49

Second Season was Most-Watched Original Drama on Ad-Supported Cable in 2008 Among W18-49; Popular Series Experienced Double-Digit Ratings Increases in Same Demo from Prior Season
LOS ANGELES, CA (February 24, 2009) � Army Wives, cable's #1 rated drama series among Women 18-49, has been renewed for a fourth season. 18 new episodes have been ordered and will premiere in 2010. Season three of the series is scheduled to premiere in June 2009 during its regular time slot, Sundays at 10 PM ET/PT on Lifetime Television. The announcement was made today by JoAnn Alfano, Executive Vice President, Entertainment, Lifetime Networks.
The most successful series in Lifetime's 25-year history, Army Wives' remarkable second season was seen by more than 80 million total viewers. The finale of the second season (Sunday, November 2, 2008) was Lifetime's highest-rated and most watched original drama telecast ever among Adults 18-34. Since its premiere in 2007, Army Wives has consistently set ratings records in households and all key female demographics.
"This early pick-up � even prior to the Season 3 premiere � is a true testament to our commitment and support of this great show," said JoAnn Alfano, Executive Vice President, Lifetime Networks. "With Jeff Melvoin taking the reins as the Executive Producer, we are confident that the best episodes are yet to come."
Army Wives follows the struggles, dreams and friendships of a diverse group of women � and one man � living with their spouses and families on an active army post. Currently filming its third season in Charleston, South Carolina, the series stars Kim Delaney, Sally Pressman, Brigid Brannagh, Brian McNamara, Sterling K. Brown, Wendy Davis, Drew Fuller, Terry Serpico, Katelyn Pippy and Catherine Bell.
Army Wives is produced by ABC Studios for Lifetime Television. Mark Gordon and The Mark Gordon Company's President of Production, Deborah Spera, serve as executive producers. Jeff Melvoin, Marshall Persinger and Harry Bring also serve as executive producers. The series is based on the book Under the Sabers: The Unwritten Code of Army Wives by Tanya Biank, who serves as a consultant.
