Networks Firm Up Obama Plans for March 24

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC are all set to carry President Obama's news conference on Tuesday, March 24.

The fallout of said coverage: FOX will shift "American Idol" to Wednesday and Thursday that week (pre-empting "Lie to Me" and "Bones"); CBS will bump "NCIS" and "The Mentalist" back an hour (pre-empting "Without a Trace"); NBC likewise will push "The Biggest Loser" to 9:00/8:00c (pre-empting "Law & Order: SVU"); and ABC will simply pre-empt the return of "According to Jim."

Here's a complete breakdown of the broadcast networks' plans, along with any affected dates:
