BBC AMERICA - MAY HIGHLIGHTS

-Sir Alan Sugar hits the boardroom in the premiere of Apprentice UK-

APPRENTICE UK

The infamous words "You're Fired!" will now be heard on BBC AMERICA with the premiere of Apprentice UK. English entrepreneur and businessman Sir Alan Sugar takes on fourteen ambitious and eager young candidates through a series of weekly challenges. The candidates are divided into two groups hoping to outsmart the other team through demanding and fierce tasks before facing the boardroom showdown. Ultimately, one of these lucky contestants will have the opportunity to earn a high-paying job in Sir Alan's billion dollar global empire.

Each week the teams face off with challenges that include creating an ad campaign to sell Sir Alan's private jets, designing a kid's toy and even presenting a "live" television show selling real products on air. After each challenge is complete, the losing team has to make the unfortunate choice of picking out the weakest candidates while Sir Alan and the board has the difficult task of "firing" a player. Each week dreams are shattered while one person is getting closer to their dream job.

Episodes 1-4 are channel premieres, Episodes 5-12 are U.S. premieres. Apprentice UK, premieres Tuesday, May 5, 8:00 p.m. ET/PT, all following episodes will premiere Tuesdays, 9:00 p.m. ET/PT.

DON'T TELL THE BRIDE U.S. PREMIERE

In the tradition of getting married, the soon-to-be groom proposes and the soon-to-be bride plans every detail of the wedding but this isn't the case in Don't Tell The Bride. Narrated by Ruth Jones (Nessa, Gavin & Stacey), each episode follows one couple on their journey as the groom is given $20,000 and sole responsibility for all decisions - towards their big day. But that means he's got to plan every aspect of the wedding including picking out the bride's gown. His wife-to-be remains in the dark during the entire process and their relationship is pushed to the limit as the groom has to deal with demanding bridesmaids, difficult mother-in-law's, expensive flowers and even surviving his own bachelor party. These grooms will only have one chance to give their bride the wedding of a lifetime.

Don't Tell The Bride premieres Friday, May 15, 8:00 p.m. ET/PT

HOTEL BABYLON U.S. PREMIERE

Hotel Babylon returns, including a guest star appearance by Paula Abdul, to BBC AMERICA with an all-new season filled with the glitz, glamour and drama at one of London's most exclusive hotels where guests can have whatever they want for a price. Whether it's throwing a Grand Prix victory celebration or helping to launch a new fashion line, the staff at Hotel Babylon work tirelessly for their glamorous, image-obsessed customers. Charlie Edwards (Max Beesley) has been promoted to manager and his first task is to cope with a new public relations expert, Emily James (Alexandra Moen). She is beautiful, ambitious and scrambling to put Hotel Babylon back on top following a bad review. However she's struggling with the entire staff to gain their trust and respect as being the newest member of their team. This season the beloved staff including Tony the Concierge, Receptionists Ben and Anna, Barman Gino, and Jackie, Head of Housekeeping have to cope with a wide array of demanding guests, including fake aristocrats, a spoiled child star, a Michelin-starred chef, and a master illusionist. They host everything from a diamond auction to auditions for a musical and somehow make it all look effortless. The special guest stars this season include Paula Abdul (American Idol), John Barrowman (Torchwood), Nathaniel Parker (Inspector Lynley Mysteries, Bleak House) and Michael Landes (Ghost Whisperer, CSI).
