LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- FOX is revamping its Sunday lineup for the remainder of the May sweeps period.
Newcomer "Sit Down, Shut Up" will now lead off the night at 7:00/6:00c followed by a repeat of "American Dad," then new episodes of "The Simpsons," "King of the Hill," "Family Guy" and "American Dad."
The news, which capped a busy day of scheduling announcements by the broadcast networks, was confirmed to the site exclusively this afternoon.
"Sit Down" posted a limp 1.9 rating among adults 18-49 last night, a 34% drop from its "Simpsons" lead-in (2.9). The series opened to a 2.3 rating in the key demographic on April 19, where it held 77% of said lead-in (3.0).
Separately, the network also issued a statement indicating it will not carry the Presidential News Conference on Wednesday. ABC, CBS and NBC all signed on to carry the broadcast earlier today.
