NBC RENEWS 'LAST CALL WITH CARSON DALY' FOR THE 2009-2010 SEASON
UNIVERSAL CITY, CA. -- May 15, 2009-NBC has renewed "Last Call with Carson Daly" for a ninth season with Carson Daly continuing as host and David Friedman executive producing, it was announced today by Rick Ludwin, Executive Vice President, Late Night & Primetime Series and Nick Bernstein, Vice President, Late Night & Primetime Series.
"Carson Daly and David Friedman have made 'Last Call' the place for people to experience late-night television in a different and exciting way," said Ludwin and Bernstein. "We're elated to have them continue to be part of our outstanding late-night line-up."
"I really feel grateful. Being able to continue my show with NBC for its 9th season is just incredible," said Daly. "I'm also excited to showcase our unique format. With the new late night lineup coming to NBC, we're a great fit, but also very distinct -- and I hope refreshing -- to viewers up that late."
Following the new mantra - "no desk, no ties, no rules" - 'Last Call' will continue to shoot at various locations around the Los Angeles area, which allows the audience to experience each guest in a unique and intimate setting. Always a trendsetter in introducing new music, Daly will continue the tradition of giving music artists a platform for their music to be heard nationwide.
"Last Call with Carson Daly" is produced by Universal Media Studios and is filmed on location. Friedman and Guy Oseary are the executive producers.
