Jesse James Sets Land Speed World Record For Hydrogen-Powered Vehicle In Season Finale On Spike TV
'Jesse James Is A Dead Man' Season Finale 'Quest for 200 MPH' Premieres Sunday, August 9 At 10:00 PM, ET/PT
NEW YORK, Aug. 5 -- Over the course of this season, Jesse James has set himself on fire, outrun the police, ridden across the Arctic Circle on a motorcycle and driven through a minefield, among other challenges. In the process, he's broken three ribs and an elbow, chipped his pelvis and even had a concussion or two. So what will this guy do for a season finale? How about capture the land speed record for an eco-friendly, but highly volatile, hydrogen-burning vehicle? "Jesse James Is A Dead Man" season finale "Quest for 200 MPH" will premiere on Sunday, August 9 (10:00 - 11:00 PM, ET/PT) only on Spike.
In order to prepare for his quest, Jesse James first had to build a vehicle capable of handling such dangerous speeds and encountered many unforeseen construction challenges along the way. Jesse James also had to prepare himself for a worst-case scenario, a hydrogen explosion, by learning how to escape from a burning vehicle. The challenge ultimately takes place at the El Mirage Dry Lake Bed in California and it seems as though the universe is working against Jesse in his quest for 200 MPH.
