INSIDE EDITION BEGINS ITS 22nd SEASON ON SEPTEMBER 14th, 2009

Number One syndicated newsmagazine gets upgrades in key markets including New York City and Cleveland

New York, NY - September 8, 2009 - CBS Television Distribution's Inside Edition begins its 22nd season as television's longest-running, top-rated and most-honored syndicated newsmagazine on September 14, 2009. Inside Edition is the No. 1 syndicated newsmagazine on the air and has ranked amongst the top 10 first-run syndicated programs every season for the past 21 years.

This season, Inside Edition has switched stations and been upgraded in the following key markets:

New York, to 6:00 p.m. on WPIX-TV (Tribune), from 11:30 am (day delay) WYNY-TV (Fox)

 Cleveland, to 7:30 p.m. on WOIO-TV (CBS), from 1:30 a.m. on WOIO-TV

Last season, Inside Edition made news by being one of the first news organizations to report on the Miracle on the Hudson. Inside Edition provided viewers, as well as other news organizations, first hand, eyewitness reporting on the US Airways flight which landed safely in the frigid Hudson River following a bird strike.

The show's profile received a boost in the aftermath of Michael Jackson's sudden death. Within the first 30 days, Chief Correspondent Jim Moret made more than 100 appearances on network and cable news shows for his legal and reporting expertise on the story in late June 2009.

Inside Edition also made international news by debunking the story of First Lady Michele Obama's alleged faux pas for hugging Queen Elizabeth. Inside Edition was the first news organization to land an exclusive interview with Buckingham Palace, which denied that the hug was a breach of protocol.

Inside Edition's investigative unit's report on Cash4Gold led other news organizations to advise consumers to shop around before selling their gold. The unit also made news with its series of investigations into Congressional travel and its report on New York State court officers drinking during lunch hours. The report led to the 30-day suspension of seven court officers.

Inside Edition is anchored by two-time Emmy Award winner Deborah Norville, who joined the newsmagazine in 1995 from CBS News, where she anchored "America Tonight" and reported for "48 Hours," "Street Stories" and "CBS Evening News." Working with Norville is an experienced team of broadcast journalists, overseen by Executive Producer Charles Lachman, with Co-Executive Producer Esther Pessin, Managing Editor Kevin Harry and Senior Producer Brian Hendel.

Other members of the Inside Edition team are the show's noted Investigative Unit headed by Senior Producer Bob Read and Senior Investigative Correspondent Matt Meagher; chief correspondent Jim Moret; and correspondents Diane McInerney, Paul Boyd, Les Trent and Megan Alexander. Boyd and McInerney are also the co-anchors of Inside Edition Weekend.

Inside Edition is produced daily at the CBS Broadcast Center in New York City and produced and distributed by CBS Television Distribution, a unit of CBS Corp.
