TRIFECTA ENTERTAINMENT & MEDIA TO LAUNCH "COLD CASE FILES" IN SYNDICATION ON SEPTEMBER 21, 2009

A&E GROUNDBREAKING SERIES CLEARED TO STRIP IN 85% OF US TV HOUSEHOLDS

NEW YORK, NY SEPTEMBER 15, 2009 Trifecta Entertainment & Media will launch the groundbreaking A&E series "Cold Case Files" in national syndication on September 21, 2009, it was announced today by Hank Cohen, CEO of Trifecta Entertainment & Media. The Monday-Friday strip has cleared in more than 85 percent of the country.

"Cold Case Files," has been sold to WLNY (New York), KTLA & KDOC (Los Angeles) and in CBS-owned WBBM in Chicago, which marks a return to host Bill Kurtis' roots, a station where he anchored the nightly newscasts for many years. Additional CBS owned and operated stations include Boston, Miami, Pittsburgh, Tampa, Sacramento and Norfolk. Key station groups involved in the launch include Tribune, Sinclair, Cox, Hearst, Belo, Granite, Raycom, Newport, Weigel and Journal Broadcasting.

The groundbreaking A&E original series "Cold Case Files," hosted by Bill Kurtis, examines unsolved murders and each piece of forensic evidence, each witness and each turn in the road ultimately leads detectives to their killer. Using new technology and old-fashion police work, cold case detectives blow the dust off old homicide files, walk down the corridors of time and set out to catch the culprit. A pioneer in the nonfiction forensics genre, the series has been universally hailed by law enforcement agencies across the country and episodes are regularly used as models for investigative technique in training seminars.

"There are more cold cases than ever and their dramatic stories are both entertaining and informative," said veteran news journalist and "Cold Case Files" host Bill Kurtis. "It's good to be back on the beat."

The syndication deal is enhanced by an offering of original segments, "The Cold Case Minute," weekly segments, hosted by Kurtis, that will provide updates and tips that target cold cases currently being investigated around the country. Designed to provide local television stations with public service announcements, show promotion and original content, the stations can opt to run "The Cold Case Minute" with adjacent commercial sponsors, as public service announcements or as original web content for their websites. "The Cold Case Minute," is co-produced by Trifecta and Bill Kurtis from WBBM studios.

"This is a unique, win-win opportunity that not only provides stations with a quality series, but allows them to present original material as an important community service," said Hank Cohen, CEO of Trifecta Entertainment & Media.
