BBC AMERICA ALL NEW U.S. PREMIERE DOCUMENTARIES TO MARK THE 40TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE MOON LANDING
JAMES MAY ON THE MOON U.S. PREMIERE
Top Gear presenter James May fulfills his childhood dream by getting a taste of how it feels to fly to the edge of space. Driven by his passion for technology, James May seeks out both the astronauts and the nuts and bolts heroes of the space race the men who built the machines that many consider to be man's greatest adventure. He takes a virtual test drive in some of the most impressive space vehicles ever built, and recreates some of the tests and stunts of the original pioneers in an interstellar version of Top Gear. Through advanced CGI manipulation of archive footage, May transports to the most iconic scenes of space, buckles up with Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin, lands the Eagle, and takes his very own space walk. His exploration also includes visits from some of the space veterans including Charlie Duke, Alan Bean and Harrison Schmitt - one of the last men to visit the moon.

In a series of exclusive interviews, the women reveal their remarkable stories and how it felt to watch their husbands blast off into space and about the death, danger and divorce they faced as many of their spacemen struggled to come back to Earth.
