truTV Greenlights Revealing Series about Life Behind the Scenes at Las Vegas' Clark County Detention Center
truTV has given the green light to an as-yet-untitled series that will provide a fascinating and gripping look at life within the walls of Las Vegas' Clark County Detention Center. The network has ordered eight episodes of the series, which comes to truTV from Langley Productions, the creative force behind the long-running hits series Cops and truTV's Inside American Jail. The series is slated to premiere in January 2010.
"truTV's brand promise to viewers is that we will take them places they might never experience in their own lives," said Marc Juris, executive vice president and general manager of truTV/ IN SESSION. "This series is a perfect chance for people who may never set foot inside a jail to see what life is really like behind bars."
truTV's new series will go inside Las Vegas' Clark County Detention Center to follow corrections officers who risk their lives every day to maintain a stable environment in a facility packed with a wide range of violators, from hardened criminals to drunks sleeping off a night after too much partying.
The series is being executive-produced by John Langley and Morgan Langley. For truTV, Robyn Hutt is executive in charge of production, while Jessica Shreeve is executive producer.
