G4 UNLEASHES EXPLOSIVE SECOND SEASON OF "HUMAN WRECKING BALLS" FEATURING AN ALL-NEW LINE-UP OF DESTRUCTION
Ultimate Demolition Tag Team, the Pumphrey Brothers, Combine Physics and Engineering with Brute Human Strength to Take On Their Biggest Destructions Yet
Los Angeles, CA, November 2, 2009 Last season the fearless and always unpredictable Pumphrey brothers crashed into homes, destroyed cars and ripped apart offices using only their bare hands. In season two of the smash hit, the guys return with an all-new set of breaks and take their demolition to the next level. This daredevil tag team employs their brain power and knowledge of science with sheer human strength to tear apart objects that seem virtually unbreakable by brute force alone. Season two features the Pumphrey brothers as they face new seemingly impossible challenges, which include destroying a helicopter, gas station, carnival, arcade and rock and roll tour bus of course using only themselves. The second season of the half-hour series "Human Wrecking Balls" premieres Wednesday, November 11 at 8:00pm ET/PT, only on G4.
The Pumphrey Brothers are nothing short of amazing with jaw-dropping stunts that seem to defy all laws of human physiology. How can a man roll a frying pan with his bare hands as if it were a newspaper? How can a helicopter be smashed apart in minutes? For Craig and Paul Pumphrey, these are just a regular day at the office. Fortunately, their office is G4's successful hit series called "Human Wrecking Balls," where the guys destroy objects, buildings, the common man's mode of transportation and more.
In addition to Hollywood feature film scale destructions, the program also delivers a healthy dose of Engineering where viewers get an opportunity to learn clever facts like where the weakest point of an object is, what angle to approach it at for optimal destruction and more. A little friendly sibling rivalry adds to the fun of the show, as the brothers compete against each other to see who can do it better, bigger and faster.
Here are just a few of the destructive episodes viewers can look forward to:
Chopper Crunch
The Pumphrey Brothers go green, military green that is, as Paul and Craig go to war with a battle-tested OH-51 Kiowa Warrior. But before they can begin to chop through this chopper, Drill Sergeant Michelle Manhart forces the brothers to go through the infamous Marine Gauntlet.
Pain at the Pump
The place gets "Pumphried" in one of the most death-defying breaks to date as the Pumphrey brothers decide that enough is enough and gas prices must finally come down. What better way to bring down gas prices than to bring down the whole gas station?
Rock the Bus
Paul and Craig have been known to rock out from time to time. When they heard that Arkansas based rock band QLand's bus broke down while on tour, they decided to lend a hand in shredding it like a Van Halen guitar solo. The boys take the stage in a duel to destroy a duo of grand pianos.
Carnival Calamity
Step right up! The Pumphrey brothers head to a Carnival for a devastatingly fun time. Ticket booths are torn to shreds, game booths grinded to the ground and amusement rides annihilated.
Lights! Camera! Destruction!
The Pumphrey Brothers go behind the scenes of a Hollywood movie set to tear down Tinseltown. The boys rampage through a hospital and courtroom set leaving nothing on this sound stage intact.
Arcade Armageddon
The Pumphreys get a chance to kick some serious asteroid in the classic game Arcade. From pinball to foosball, it's game over for this game room.
Post Office Pummel
In this Post Office, mail is sent flying as the brothers slaughter the service counters, pulverize the PO Boxes, crush the conveyors and mangle the mail truck.
Fast Food Ferocity
The Pumphrey Brothers serve up some serious slam at a corner burger joint. Craig orders up a chop till you drop combo at the counter and Paul flips the grill literally.
The Pumphrey brothers are joined by a support team of engineers and a medical aid to assess stunt risk and injury possibility for the brothers in each episode. Chad Zdenek, a professional civil and mechanical engineer who has coached NASA employees serves as the structural engineer and destruction consultant on the show. Abigail Tallman is a certified nurse currently stationed in the critical care unit at Brotman Medical Center in Culver City, CA. She tends to the wounds, scrapes and cuts, and lets out a sigh of relief when an episode wraps and the Pumphrey brothers get away with only minor injuries.
"Human Wrecking Balls" was developed by BASE Productions with John Brenkus, Mickey Stern and Rob Dorfmann, who will serve as Executive Producers. Rupert Dobson is the Producer and Director for the series.
The all-new season of "Human Wrecking Balls," premieres Wednesday, November 11 at 8pm ET/PT, only on G4.
