Former Globe Winners Tina Fey, Alec Baldwin, Hugh Laurie and Steve Carell Also Are Honored with New Nominations

All Seven NBCU Nominations Come from Universal Media Studios Series

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - December 15, 2009 - NBC Universal Television tallied impressive Golden Globe nominations with a total of seven nods, boosted by three for NBC's "30 Rock" and two for "The Office" - both of which earned nominations as Best Television Series, Comedy or Musical. Likewise, Best Actor bids went to Alec Baldwin ("30 Rock" and Steve Carell ("The Office") and a Best Actress nomination to Tina Fey ("30 Rock").

In addition, "House" - from Universal Media Studios - received two nominations, including one as Best Television Series - Drama. The series' title star, Hugh Laurie, is a two-time Golden Globe winner for "House" and again was named among the nominees for Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series -- Drama.

All seven NBC Universal Television nominations came from series produced by Universal Media Studios.

The announcements were made early today by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California.

With its five nominations, NBC placed second among broadcast networks (Fox was first with six ).

"30 Rock" won the Golden Globe last year for Best Television Series -- Comedy or Musical. Fey also has received two previous Golden Globes in the category of Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series -- Comedy or Musical. Likewise, fellow nominee and cast mate Baldwin has been honored with three Golden Globes for Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series -- Comedy or Musical

Carell was nominated for Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series - Comedy or Musical, the same award that he won in 2006. Today's nod marks the third time that "The Office" has been among the Best Television Series - Comedy or Musical nominees.
