"The Nanny" Joins The Network And Hit Movies

New York, New York, April 6, 2010 -- TV Land kicks off the summer in a sizzling way with exciting new PRIME originals including the long-anticipated sitcom "Hot in Cleveland," an unforgettable tribute to director/producer Mike Nichols, the addition of the hilarious sitcom "The Nanny" and unforgettable movies. It all kicks off on May 5th with the second season premiere of "How'd You Get So Rich?" starring the hilarious Joan Rivers. Then, on June 16th, from the writer of "Frasier" - Suzanne Martin - and produced by Sean Hayes ("Will & Grace"), TV Land debuts the first scripted sitcom for the network, "Hot in Cleveland" starring Valerie Bertinelli, Wendie Malick, Jane Leeves and Betty White. Shortly after, on June 27th, TV Land will air an exclusive celebrity-filled soiree honoring the career of legendary filmmaker Mike Nichols - who has worked with the likes of Meryl Streep and Tom Hanks - with the "TV Land Presents The AFI Life Achievement Award: Mike Nichols." On August 25th, television's only modeling competition for women 35 and older returns with notable new celebrity host - Brooke Burke - and a new supermodel judge Roshumba Willliams.

Enhancing TV Land's summer original programming schedule further, TV Land welcomes the popular series "The Nanny" to the network plus Friday night blockbuster movies including "Top Gun" and "Sister Act."

As she tours the most lavish and extravagant homes, she introduces viewers to folks who made a lot of money in out of the ordinary, fascinating ways and asks all the questions no one else would - in the way only Joan can.

Nichols has directed renowned films including: "The Graduate," "Who's Afraid Of Virginia Woolf," "Working Girl," "The Birdcage" and many more. The gala tribute will be taped in Los Angeles on June 10, 2010. Every year this prestigious honor is presented to a single honoree.
