WOMEN ON DEATH ROW 5 - PREMIERES MONDAY MAY 3 AT 8PM ET/PT
WOMEN ON DEATH ROW 5 is the fifth installment of WE tv's popular docu-special that offers a hard look at the prison lives of women facing the death penalty. Women comprise less than two percent of all Death Row inmates in United States prisons. The two-hour special explores the stories and experiences of different women on Death Row, as told through the circumstances surrounding their crime, investigation and trial. Among those profiled are:
· Pamela Perillo, whose two murder convictions landed her on Death Row in a Texas prison for nearly 20 years.
· Debra Bracewell, who has spent 32 years in prison for a crime she was convicted of at the age of 17. She was the only woman on Alabama's Death Row for many years.
· Judy Buenoano, who took out multiple insurance policies and killed her husband, son and boyfriend, was found guilty and ultimately sentenced to death by electric chair.
· Tiffany Cole, who was sentenced to death in March 2008, was an active participant in the premeditated murder/robbery of a couple who were buried alive.
· "The Oklahoma 3," the name given to three murderesses executed in Oklahoma in 2001. These executions made Oklahoma the state that carried out the most death penalty executions, sparking fierce debate on the practice.
WOMEN BEHIND BARS SEASON 3 - PREMIERES TUESDAY, MAY 4 AT 10PM ET/PT
The following night, WOMEN BEHIND BARS returns for a third season to document a new group of real women whose lives took a severe turn - all with unpredictable outcomes. Upcoming installments include eerie visits with a former law enforcement officer, now behind bars; a (then) five-month pregnant women who was found asleep beside her boyfriend's partially dismembered body; a baby kidnapper; a mother who elicited her children's help in disposing of her husband's body and several women who committed sinister crimes of passion.
