G4 GOES TO BATTLE WITH "TOMORROW'S WARRIOR," A NEW MILITARY SPECIAL PREMIERING JUNE 3RD AT 8PM ET/PT
One-Hour Special Grants Viewers Direct Access to Military Training with a Behind-The-Scenes Look at Real-Life Special Ops, Weapons Analysis and Testing, and Cutting-Edge Military Training Scenarios
LOS ANGELES, CA - May 27, 2010 - On June 3rd, G4 takes viewers into military action in an explosive one-hour special, "Tomorrow's Warrior." Hosted by former Marine and "Attack of the Show's!" resident military correspondent Weston Scott and G4's resident bad-ass Alison Haislip, the special focuses on real-world special ops training. From blowing up cars with Gatling Guns and flying Apache Attack Helicopters, to escaping from a moving car, handling handguns and M1-34's, activating explosives and more, our hosts engage in actual training scenarios to bring viewers an insider's look at the most advanced military tech and armed forces.
"Tomorrow's Warrior" premieres Thursday, June 3rd at 8pm ET/PT, only on G4.
G4's special correspondent Alison Haislip is well-known for her action-packed segments, reporting on gun shows, car racing and even stunt training with Cirque du Soleil. G4's special military and action correspondent, Weston Scott, is an honored United States Marine Corps Non-Commissioned Officer, versed in weapons handling, close quarter battle (CQB), Marine Corps L.I.N.E. training, urban warfare, fire team/squad tactics, defensive/offensive operations, and radio operations. In "Tomorrow's Warrior," these two thrill-seeking correspondents are guided by former Israeli Counter Terrorism soldier Doron Benbenisty through a series of training scenarios like high speed wave runner chases, shooting from and boarding moving boats, being hunted by armed hostiles, and a full-blown capture and escape using helicopters and SIM (simulated bullet) fire rounds.
The special is filmed at multiple military bases and training grounds, from Camp Pendelton Marine Base in Oceanside, CA, to a secret location in the Nevada desert. Weston and Alison take viewers to visit the front line's arduous training program and learn about the extraordinary tactics used by some of the country's deadliest armed forces. The special grants exclusive access to top level military and police training and technology, from the front lines of SWAT raids, to the front seat of a real life Super Cobra Attack Helicopter, offering the thrill of a first person experience without the risk of injury. In addition, the special takes a behind-the-scenes look at today's cutting edge weapons in a military style debriefing, providing insight on the mission specs and revealing the gear and tech behind the weaponry. This in-the-trenches, action-packed special takes viewers directly into the line of fire, giving them an opportunity to experience the unique feeling of a real-life first person shooter in a television special.
"Tomorrow's Warrior" premieres Thursday, June 3rd at 8pm ET/PT, only on G4.
