VIBRANT MIAMI STYLE INSPIRES DESIGNER DAVID BROMSTAD IN HGTV's "COLOR SPLASH: MIAMI"
New Series Premieres on Sunday, June 13, at 11 p.m. ET/PT
Knoxville, Tenn. [For Immediate Release - June 1, 2010] - This summer, David Bromstad will turn up the heat when he brings his signature design style to his hometown of Miami, Florida in Color Splash: Miami. Inspired by the timeless art deco architecture, tropical gardens and sizzling nightlife in this vibrant city, David will transform ordinary rooms and outdoor spaces into something breathtaking during his new weekly series, premiering Sunday, June 13, at 11 p.m. ET/PT.
Each week, David will encourage homeowners to take design to the next level, inspiring them to come out of their comfort zone and have fun with color palettes. David will visit various Miami locations, including Grass Lounge, The Betsy Hotel and the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens to explore the featured homeowners' preferences and to create a design plan that is unique to their personal style.
In the first episode, Jose Sanchez and Dania Prieto are ready to transform their master bedroom into a luxurious sanctuary. Inspired by one of Miami's most storied mansions, formerly Versace Mansion and now The Villa restaurant by Barton G, David and the homeowners visit the courtyard, pool area and the dining area to find inspiration for their customized old-world meets-modern design. During the design process, David calls upon local Miami artisans to create one-of-a-kind pieces for the bedroom - such as a glass sculpture ceiling fixture, an orange feature wall.
"David's exuberant attitude and passion for design come to life in Color Splash: Miami," said Freddy James, senior vice president, program development and production, HGTV. "He encourages homeowners to be more daring with their color choices and shows them how to successfully select and balance bold colors in their homes."
