SYFY WILL COLLECT THE WORLD'S POP CULTURE MEMORABILIA IN NEW REALITY SERIES HUNTING HOLLYWOOD (WT)

New York, New York - June 16, 2010 - Building the next generation of its successful reality programming, Syfy has greenlit six episodes of a new unscripted series, Hunting Hollywood (working title), from Shevick*Zupon Entertainment, it was announced today by Mark Stern, Executive Vice President, Original Content for Syfy/Co-Head, Original Content for Universal Cable Productions.

Hunting Hollywood is a one-hour, weekly documentary-reality series that brings the collecting of showbiz and pop culture memorabilia - including science fiction and fantasy props and costumes -- alive through Joe Maddalena, owner of Profiles in History. Based in Calabasas, California, Maddalena is the world's largest auctioneer of original movie, television and pop culture collectibles who will add his expertise into the myths and legends of items.

Each episode follows Joe and his crew as they travel the country and the globe searching for the most compelling, rare, and sought-after Hollywood memorabilia. Sometimes combing through basements and attics to uncover lost treasures, and other times meeting with celebrities to view their personal keepsakes, Joe tracks leads and does whatever it takes to seal the deal for a piece of Hollywood history. Every episode culminates with Joe presiding over a world-class auction, where all of the collectibles are sold to fans and collectors from around the world.

Executive Producers of Hunting Hollywood are Jerry Shevick, Mark Zupon and Bruce Toms.

Syfy is launching its first ever Thursday night reality block on July 15 from 9-11PM (ET/PT), beginning with Mary Knows Best, followed by Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files. Ghost Hunters and Destination Truth are among the most popular cable series on Wednesday nights.

Syfy is a media destination for imagination-based entertainment. With year round acclaimed original series, events, blockbuster movies, classic science fiction and fantasy programming, a dynamic Web site (www.Syfy.com), and a portfolio of adjacent business (Syfy Ventures), Syfy is a passport to limitless possibilities. Originally launched in 1992 as SCI FI Channel, and currently in more than 96 million homes, Syfy is a network of NBC Universal, one of the world's leading media and entertainment companies. (Syfy.
