ABC ANNOUNCES WINNER OF TRUE BEAUTY
QUICK TAKE
TAYLOR BILLS OF IRVINE, CALIFORNIA, WINS
THE ABC REALITY COMPETITION "TRUE BEAUTY"
Taylor Bills, 24, a former professional baseball player from Irvine, California, is the grand prize winner of ABC's summer reality show, "True Beauty." Taylor beat out nine other contestants to claim the grand prize - $100,000 and a photo featured in an upcoming edition of People magazine - competing in "outer" beauty challenges and succeeding in situations where a hidden camera determined "inner" beauty. Over the eight-episode series, Taylor and his fellow contestants thought they were competing to become "The Face of Las Vegas"; however, they were actually competing to determine who demonstrated "true beauty" inside and out. At the end of each episode, judges Vanessa Minnillo, Carson Kressley and Beth Stern eliminated one contestant whose behavior did not measure up. The runners-up of the competition were Erika Othen, 25, a singer/songwriter from Long Island, New York, and Craig Franczyk, 29, a retail manager from Winnipeg, Canada.
Executive producers of "True Beauty" are Denise Cramsey (ABC's "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition"), Tyra Banks and Laura Armstrong for Bankable Productions, and Ashton Kutcher, Jason Goldberg, Karey Burke and Rod Aissa for Katalyst Productions. The series is a production of Warner Horizon Television.
