TRACY MORGAN: BLACK AND BLUE FEATURES THE HOT COMIC IN HIS FIRST HBO STAND-UP COMEDY SPECIAL, DEBUTING THIS NOVEMBER

NEW YORK, July 21, 2010 - Red-hot comedy star Tracy Morgan will make his HBO stand-up debut this November in a solo comedy special, it was announced today by Nancy Geller, senior vice president, HBO Original Programming. Taping before a live audience at the Apollo Theatre in New York City Sept. 24 and 25, TRACY MORGAN: BLACK AND BLUE will feature the comedian's unpredictable and freewheeling brand of humor in an uncensored setting.

"Tracy Morgan is a rare talent who is at the top of his game, and we are thrilled to bring him to HBO in what we expect to be an exciting, outrageous and no-holds-barred special," observed Geller.

"The special is going to be all the elements: fire, water, earth, air, the comedy bender, the avatar of comedy experience," says Morgan.

One of the stars of the current hit series "30 Rock," Morgan was a cast regular on "Saturday Night Live" from 1996 to 2003. In addition to headlining his own series, "The Tracy Morgan Show," he has starred in such films as "Death at a Funeral," "G-Force," "First Sunday," "Cop Out," "Superhero Movie" and "The Longest Yard."

Morgan received a 2009 Emmy(R) nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for "30 Rock," along with three NAACP Image Award nominations for Supporting Actor.

TRACY MORGAN: BLACK AND BLUE is written and executive produced by Tracy Morgan; executive produced by Dave Becky and David Miner; produced by Pat Tourk Lee and John Moffitt; directed by John Moffitt.
