HGTV Extends Production of 'The Antonio Treatment'
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. [For Immediate Release--August 16, 2010] HGTV has ordered 13 additional episodes of The Antonio Treatment, a weekly series featuring Antonio Ballatore, season four champion of last year's HGTV Design Star. Produced by Scout Productions, the show highlights Ballatore's unique and unapologetic design style. Antonio and his crew of unconventional craftsmen transform lackluster homes into radically original--yet functional--custom creations.
"Antonio's unexpected and gritty style made him an exciting HGTV Design Star winner," said Freddy James, senior vice president, program development and production, HGTV. "In his own show, he continues to surprise audiences with his unique ideas, dynamic personality and fresh point of view."
The Antonio Treatment airs on HGTV on Saturdays at 6 p.m. ET/PT as of August 21, 2010. The additional episodes will begin airing in first quarter 2011.
