24/7 (HBO) - The pay channel's sports franchise will reportedly take a look at the NHL for its 11th installment. Set to debut December 15 and run through January 5, the four-episode series will track the build-up to the regular season matchup between longtime rivals the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Washington Capitals on December 23 as well as the January 1 "Winter Classic" showdown at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh. No other details were given. Season 10 of "24/7," focusing on Manny Pacquiao and Antonio Margarito's upcoming WBC junior middleweight title bout, premieres October 23.

911 OPERATORS (ABC, New!) - Courteney Cox and David Arquette ("Cougar Town") are reportedly close to landing a new drama at the Alphabet centering on the stories of 911 operators. Michael Caleo ("Rescue Me") is penning the hour and will executive produce alongside Cox and Arquette for ABC Studios, where the latter's Coquette banner has a first-look deal. No other details were given.

ANTI-MAFIA SQUAD (ABC, New!) - Gina Matthews and Grant Scharbo ("The Gates") are looking to get back in business with the Alphabet. The duo are set to import the drama "Anti-Mafia Squad," from Italian-based media company Mediaset, for ABC and sibling ABC Studios however no details were given. It's understood the series is envisioned as a possible summer entry on the Alphabet however nothing has been finalized. Matthews and Scharbo will executive produce alongside Raul Mateu of Fluent Media.

CORKSCREW (Showtime, New!) - Richard Shepard ("The Matador") has sold a new drama to the pay channel as part of his recently launched Olé banner with Sean Furst and Bryan Furst. Said hour is billed as "a black comic look at marriage." No other details were given about the project, which Shepard will write and direct. The Fursts will also executive produce alongside Shepard.

HELLCATS/ONE TREE HILL (The CW) - The netlet has reportedly ordered six additional scripts of both series. Newcomer "Hellcats" rolled out earlier this month, where it has doubled the numbers of last year's Wednesday, 9:00/8:00c occupant: the short-lived "The Beautiful Life." Meanwhile, "One Tree Hill" is apparently back to a 13-episode order (plus six scripts), despite assurances from Dawn Ostroff at the TCA Summer Press Tour it did have a 22-episode commitment. Nevertheless, both moves are billed as positive signs towards additional episodes being put into production.

KINGS OF SPEED (Starz, New!) - Feature helmers Wolfgang Petersen and Ron Shelton are developing a 10-hour limited series at the pay channel set in the world of 1950s and '60s auto racing. Said project would revolve around "the international auto racing circuit of day, led by Enzo Ferrari, and the underground car culture of Southern California." Shelton is spearheading the writing and directing on "Speed," utilizing public domain source material as well as Tim Considine's upcoming book "Twice Around the Clock: The Yanks at LeMans," with Petersen also potentially directing. The duo will also presumably executive produce alongside Larry Spiegel and Judy Goldstein.

TREME (HBO) - Jon Seda ("The Pacific") is joining the cast of the show's second season. He'll play "a politically connected developer and venture capitalist from Dallas, who becomes involved in the renewal efforts in post-Katrina New Orleans." Season two of the series, David Simon and Eric Overmyer, will roll out sometime next year.
