NBC announced earlier today midseason dramas "The Cape" (following its two-hour premiere on Sunday, January 9) and "Harry's Law" would assume the network's Monday, 9:00/8:00c and 10:00/9:00c slots, respectively, beginning January 17.
The Peacock also revealed "The Event" would return Monday, February 28 at 9:00/8:00c (with a two-hour broadcast) while "Parenthood" would shift to Mondays at 10:00/9:00c beginning March 7.
Nevertheless, despite what appears to be abbreviated runs - eight episodes of "The Cape," six of "Harry's Law" - NBC sources have confirmed 13 episodes have been ordered of each series.
The back half of their respective seasons will then premiere at a later date.
They won't be alone either: last month we confirmed fellow newcomers "Love Bites" and "Friends With Benefits" likewise are in production on 13-episode orders. The Peacock also has "The Paul Reiser Show," which is believed to have a six-episode commitment however that number has yet to be formally confirmed.
