From searching for Al Qaeda in Yemen to testing out fashionable bulletproof jackets in Bogota, Vice correspondents take viewers on a globetrotting odyssey as they investigate real stories. The series features Vice founder Shane Smith, his fearless reporters Ryan Duffy and Thomas Morton, and guest appearances by Spike Jonze among others.
"Vice has always uncovered the most distinctive and provocative news stories in all genres," said Shannon Fitzgerald, MTV's Vice President and Head of East Coast Development. "Through the creative filter of the Vice brand, this series will take viewers on an exhilarating journey, revealing unique slivers of life from all corners of the world - bringing young people news that mainstream media often ignores."
"When Vice magazine first started, all we cared about was sex, drugs and rock'n roll. But as we started traveling around the world, we got more into politics, culture, fashion, art, and the environment - basically everything. And this is that - 'The Vice Guide To Everything,'" said the series' star and Vice founder Shane Smith. "It's a series about the absurdity of the modern condition: the most interesting people, news, sub-cultures and rituals on the planet. It's the stuff you don't get from the mainstream media - that you absolutely need to know - and you won't stop talking about it."
