Style's Highest-Rated Makeover Series Takes on New York City's Messiset Homes With A New Host, A New Crew and A New East Coast Attitude in "Clean House New York"
Los Angeles, April 11, 2011 - For as long as anyone can remember, New York's mayoral candidates have made promises to "clean up the city." The Style Network is now taking that mantra - literally. One apartment, condo, co-op, brownstone and walk-up at a time, "Clean House New York" will be dusting off the city that never sleeps and performing the makeover miracles that have saved more than 190 (and counting!) homes to date. From the East side to the West side and every neighborhood all over the city, Style's mega-hit series will be scouring the Big Apple for the city's most cluttered homes, then setting about to transform these seemingly hopeless abodes from messy disasters to warm and welcoming oases amidst the hustle and bustle of America's largest city. The 10-episode one-hour series will begin production in New York this May to air in October.
As the "Clean House New York" team perform their magic, they'll help surprised and hopeful homeowners get to the root of their problems, battle the disorganization that is holding them back and break through emotional barriers to clutter-free bliss. It all begins with the assessment, and the New York Clean Team will be ruthless in their evaluation, employing the no-nonsense approach for which New Yorkers are known. From Hell's Kitchen to Harlem, and from the Village to the Upper East Side, they'll call it as they see it. Next comes the big cleanout, during which homeowners must go through the often-painful process of letting go of the very clutter that is holding them back. Aiding the NY Clean Team, everything that is worth selling will be sold at a yard sale, auction, flea market or wherever the team can make the most money, with proceeds going towards rejuvenating the homeowner's space with a fabulous makeover by members of the crew.
Throughout the season the "clean team's" goals will remain clear and focused: tackling both the mountains of 'stuff' and the emotional causes hidden beneath them which keep people from living life to the fullest. And in each episode of "Clean House New York," viewers will watch as homeowners and apartment dwellers alike face the questions that have made "Clean House" a hit: Will New Yorkers be able to handle it when yard-sale patrons begin pawing through and bargaining for their precious possessions? Does the all-new team of experts have what it takes to battle New York City's most cluttered? Will the families be able to part with their "junk?" All these questions -- and more -- will be answered when "Clean House New York" gives America's biggest city a thorough cleaning.
The new series will debut this October on Style.
