DESIGNER THOM FILICIA SIGNS DEVELOPMENT DEAL WITH HGTV
New York, N.Y. (For Release - Wednesday, April 12, 2011) Acclaimed interior designer, author and television fan favorite Thom Filicia has signed a development deal with HGTV that involves a number of future projects including guest appearances on several of the network's popular series and the starring role in a holiday special.

As an Emmy Award winning breakout star on Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, Filicia gained national attention with his upscale, out-of-the-box, design sensibility. His expertise and design projects have been regularly showcased on national television news/talk programs including Oprah, Ellen, Today, and The View. In addition, he has been featured in such top national publications as Elle Decor, House Beautiful, Traditional Home, Vogue Living, Country Living, Details, WWD, People, Entertainment Weekly, Family Circle, Woman's Day, The New York Times, USA Weekend, InStyle and Teen Vogue.
Filicia also is an interior designer with a successful New York City-based business, Thom Filicia Inc (TFI). Founded in 1998, TFI clients include high profile celebrities, international luxury hotel chains, and prestigious clientele in the fashion, entertainment, media, real estate and finance industries. Filicia has been honored as one of House Beautiful's Top 100 Designers and was dubbed one of OUT magazine's 100 Most Influential People. He also was featured in the Barbara Walters special, "The Top 10 Most Fascinating People."
