PARENTS' CHOICE FOUNDATION HONORS THE HUB TV NETWORK WITH THREE AWARDS FOR QUALITY CHILDREN'S PROGRAMMING

"Family Game Night," "R.L. Stine's The Haunting Hour: The Series," "The WotWots" Recognized for Excellence by Nation's Oldest Nonprofit Guide To Quality Children's Media

LOS ANGELES - On the heels of receiving eight Daytime Emmy(R) Award nominations (with two wins) in its first television season since re-branding, The Hub, a television destination for kids and their families, has been honored by The Parents' Choice Foundation with three 2011 Parents' Choice Awards for quality programming. The Hub's series "Family Game Night," "R.L. Stine's The Haunting Hour: The Series," and "The WotWots" were recognized by the foundation, which helps parents and caregivers make informed decisions about programming for their children.

The Hub, a joint venture of Discovery Communications and Hasbro, Inc., re-branded with a new program lineup on October 10, 2010, and is available to 62 million U.S. cable and satellite households.

The Hub Original Series "R.L. Stine's The Haunting Hour: The Series" was awarded the Parents' Choice Approved Seal on the basis of the production, entertainment and human values they exemplify. A Parents' Choice Approved seal indicates a wholesome product that helps children enjoy developing physical, emotional, social or academic skills. The series is produced by Haunting Hour Productions, Ltd.

The Hub Original Series "Family Game Night" from Hasbro Studios, and the series "The WotWots," produced by Pukeko Pictures LLP, were honored with Parents' Choice Fun Stuff Awards, created in response to requests for the organization to identify shows that are well produced and fun.

The Hub Original Series "R.L. Stine's The Haunting Hour: The Series" (Saturday, 8:30 p.m. ET) is a half-hour, live-action children's anthology series that takes viewers on a creepy new adventure every week from stories inspired by R.L. Stine, the best-selling author of Goosebumps and master of scary tales for children. This is the show kids won't let their parents watch by themselves! The series is produced by Haunting Hour Productions, Ltd.

The Hub Original Series "Family Game Night" (Saturday, 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. ET) is a live-action family game show, hosted by Daytime Emmy(R) Award nominee Todd Newton, where kids and adults play as teams for points and prizes. Within each hour-long episode, contestants participate in a variety of classic games, challenging both contestants and viewers with strategy, creativity and pure luck. The series is produced by Hasbro Studios.

The Hub TV series "The WotWots" (Tuesday-Friday, 9 a.m. ET) is an animated pre-school series featuring the adventures of two soft, puppet-like aliens - a brother and sister - who come to explore planet Earth in their steam powered spaceship and land in a local zoo. From the creative minds at Richard Taylor's Academy Award-winning Weta Workshop, "The WotWots" is produced by Pukeko Pictures LLP.
